My Valentine

Since Cassidy's first birthday party was on Valentines Day, my hubby and I didnt exactly do anything romantic. I did get beautiful flowers though! :) Anyway, I thought I would take the time to do a short blog entry about my Valentine. Here are just 10 out of a million reasons I love my husband.

#1
He is the most wonderful father. He loves Cassidy so much and would do anything for her. He loves to be silly with her, he changes diapers, he does the discipline, he sings to her, he makes her laugh. He does it all. :)

#2

He will not only watch all my shows I love, he actually gets in to them and LIKES them!! This includes, Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Biggest Loser, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Ellen, Friends etc. I love watching all my shows with him!

#3

He is a dreamer. He loves to talk about all the things we can do and will do. He loves to come up with ideas about our house, our future kids, our future trips etc. I tend to be a realist so we balance eachother. And I believe that you do have to dream it to live it. It is fun to think of all the things we will experience together. He was the first to dream that we could own a house in the neighboorhood we love. And then we bought this. :)

#4

He randomly tells me he loves me. We will just be eating dinner or watching tv and he will just look over at me and tell me he loves me forever.
#5

He has the most beautiful blue eyes! Which he passed down to Cass. Plus I love his hands and calves. :)

#6

He loves my cooking. He always tells me the food is delicious. Since I cook, he never complains about what we are having. In fact he doesnt even ask, he just waits and then eats it and compliments me.
(That was the first pie I had ever made from scratch and I was darn proud of myself!)

#7

He is handy around the house. He loves to fix things, build things etc. He has a million tools and loves his work bench and tool chests. :)

#8

He is the life of the party. (Geez, I wonder who Cass gets that from?) He makes jokes, mingles etc. One time someone dared him to dance on the table and he did it. Everyone was laughing so hard. He is just comfortable with lots of people even if he doesnt know them. (I am the complete opposite). He is such a ham, look at the picture below for proof.

#9

He is a hard worker. He loves his job and works really hard to be successful and respected. I know he will work hard the rest of his life to help provide for our family.

#10

He is really funny. I think laughing together will get you through anything. He makes me laugh all the time.

I LOVE YOU HUBBY! BE MY VALENTINE FOREVER! XOXOXO

Its My Party, I Can SMILE If I Want To!

Cassidy had a great first birthday party! She loved it! We went to the movie theatre and had a party with everyone who sees her everyday and loves her so much. My parents, my grandma Rosalie, Aaron's dad and his grandparents came from far away for Cassidy's special day! Cassidy loved being the center of attention! She was all smiles and hugs the whole time!

She even played an arcade game! It was crazy that she instantly grabbed on to the steering wheel and moved it back and forth like she was really driving! One of my coworkers gave her this tiara. It was so cute. She allowed it to stay on her head for about 5 minutes.

She was not quite sure about the singing with the lights off thing. :)

But she was sure she liked the strawberry cake and chocolate frosting! Especially the frosting. :)And she was sure she loved when everyone clapped for her! She would have been happy to just have everyone clap for her the entire time!

Thanks to everyone who came and all those that gave Cassidy gifts by mail! I know she felt the love!

After the party Cassidy got to hang out with all her family and play with all her great toys.

On her actual birthday, Aaron had the day off since it was a holiday so we got to spend the day as a family and then take Cassidy to her weekly swim class. Aaron was able to come and take some pictures.

Cassidy can go under now!

Snow Baby

We have had the most mild winter ever. It has literally only snowed like 5 times all year which is just crazy. I feel like I am still waiting for winter but I must say I am enjoying the spring like weather and the easy driving conditions. However, last weekend it did snow a little overnight and so we took Cassidy out to play in it. She loved it!

My husband is awfully handsome and my daughter is awfully cute! ;)

My Waddler

So the other day when I picked Cassidy up at day care they let me know that she is ready to graduate from the infant room to the waddler room. They said she is ready to be with the older kids who all run around together, go outside and play everyday and do more group activities. Since Cass is walking and running they said she is ready to have a class that is more stimulating. I know this all sounds like fantastic news right? Well it is, but my first reaction was total sadness. I started crying I guess because what they were really saying is my baby is no longer a baby. She is still only going in the mornings so I am actually really excited she will be so active and have so much fun in the mornings then she can still be mama's cuddly baby in the afternoon and evenings right?! :)

Anyway, here are some of her big girl adventures lately. She loves the bath and no longer needs a baby infant seat.

Here is Cass at work, being an independent girl. Peek-a-boo!
