Boy has life been crazy lately!! Aaron got a new job!!
A job opportunity presented itself to Aaron and he has decided to take it! He will now be a Credit Officer / Assistant Vice President for Community Bank. This is a huge promotion and big step up for Aaron in his career!
This is a big step for us because even though this bank has 19 branches, the one they want Aaron to work at is actually in Northeastern Oregon! The town is 2 hours from our house. It is a small town surrounded by mountains on three sides and a beautiful lake. This is a resort type of town and is VERY popular in the summer months because of the lake and all the activities it offers such as camping, boating, hiking, fishing etc. Here are a few pictures.
This is the town nestled in the moutains.

Here is a picture of his new bank.

Only 3 miles outside of the town is this lake!

We stopped to look at it. You cant see about on the far side of the lake there is a huge campground and lots of cabins along the water for renting in the summer.

This is a beautiful town but it is very small. So for now Aaron and I have decided not to move. I have such a wonderful job here that I love. Cassidy goes to a great school and still gets to be with me in the afternoons. So Aaron will be commuting a few days a week. However, because it is only 2 hours he can be home any night if I need him. :) We will miss him so much but this is such a wonderful opportunity for him and I know it will benefit us into the future. Plus there is a branch 20 minutes from our house that we hope he will be transferred to in the future!
We were worried about where he would stay a few nights a week but LUCKILY we have found somewhere! There is a guy who is on the board of directors for the bank and is a realtor in town who offered Aaron a room in his home. We went last weekend and I think it will work out perfect! He offered us a great affordable deal and Aaron will have his own room with a full bathroom and walk-in closet in it. This guy has a huge home and all his kids are grownup so it actually benefits him having someone there to watch the house and help with chores like snowplow and landscaping.
Here is a picture of the house.

Cass has a blast exploring his yard and land!

Plus it sits on 14 acres where Aaron can bring his 4-wheeler to ride! Plus there is tons of hiking and wildlife on his land which Aaron loves to see. Aaron may not want to come home. ;)
Aaron has worked his butt off at his current job and has learned so much. I am so proud of him for getting this new job. He deserves it. Cassidy and I will miss him so much but we are so excited for this chapter in his career. CONGRATS BABE!
