14 Months

Cassidy turned 14 months on April 15th!

At 14 months she:
*loves the outdoors! All she ever wants is to be outside and especially at the park.
*can say mama/mom, dada, dog, fish, duck, uh oh, hi, yes, no, please (ceese), cheese which sounds like please :)
*loves to be chased
*loves dogs
*loves push toys
*loves to color
*loves to be read to and to sit by herself with a book reading out loud in her own language
*has NO teeth!
*favorite foods- yogurt, cheese, crackers and fruit popsicles

Her adventures at the park demonstrate her interests/likes/talents:

1. She was so happy to be there, she has 0 interest in pictures.

2. She loves to climb stairs, in fact, she is obsessed.

3. She will point out every dog she sees and immediately go over to it to say hello.

4. She loves to meet new friends and will approach other little kids like she did with this little boy and his mom.

5. She loves to run. She would prefer to run down hill since she goes even faster.

6. She is very independent and doesnt mind in the least if I am one step away or not. That whole "bye we are leaving without you" thing does not work since she just waves back and keeps running in the opposite direction. lol

7. She has good balance. She walked along like this all the way down. Future gymnast....maybe.

8. She doesnt mind getting dirty and will pick up the dirt and grass and just hold it. Future tomboy... probably.
9. After a long day of non-stop action, she sits down and takes a moment to rest. :)
Happy 14 months Cass! We love you so much! You are so full of life and spirit! xoxo

Lately

So we have had a lot of excitement lately. Well... maybe not excitement but we have been really busy!

Cassidy's hair was been growing a ton lately. Especially her bangs. I was putting a clip or ponytail to get her bangs out of her eyes but she thinks its hilarious to pull those things out. So her hair has been needing a cut. We went to see my hair lady, Peggy to get a bang trim. Peggy also happens to live on a farm and have 4 golden retrievers. Not only that but one of them just had 12 puppies! So first we got the cut and then we got to visit the puppies!

You can see how long they are in this next pic.
Here is the before shot. Which let me tell you she did NOT love this experience.

She wouldnt stay still for after pictures since her only care in the world was getting out of that chair and over to see the dogs & puppies! But you can see how cute she looks.

The puppies jumped on her a little so she decided she likes the bigger dogs better. :) I think she has learned she can jump and pull on the bigger dogs whereas the puppies jump and pull on her. lol She was happy to see Cody later that night.

My little thinker.

Aaron and I have also been extremely busy at work. The good thing is we are loving our jobs, progressing financially and taking on more responsibilty and duties. But we have been working late and often so we havent had much spare time which is why I am so behind on my blogs!

Of course I have also been having medical issues, when am I not? My hand and wrist have been hurting and going numb for about 10 months now. I finally went to the doctor and found out I have carpal tunnel and severe nerve damage. So I had surgery on the 8th of April. The surgery wasnt too bad except I couldnt use my right hand for about a week. Aaron has been so helpful, he changed all of Cassidy's diapers plus gave her a bath everynight etc. He has also been doing the dishes since I cant get my hand wet at all. He has been so sweet! My hand still hurts a lot, I dont get my stitches out until the 19th but I can finally semi-write/type and hold things in my hand.

Things have been crazy but I sure love our crazy happy little life. :)

Easter

On Easter weekend we were happy to have my parents come visit. It was nice to not only celebrate Easter with them but also my dad and Aaron's birthday. We had a great weekend just hanging out. It was really cold so we watched a lot of movies and my dad and Aaron went to the movie theatre while my mom, Cass and I went shopping. Our little town hosted an Easter egg hunt. It was soooo freezing but Cass got the hang out it and collected some great eggs.

Thanks for visiting Mom and Dad! Come back soon. Cass misses you already!

Fool's Day

April 1st was not only my dads birthday but also my husbands!!! I really have 4 main men in my life: my husband, my dad and my two brothers. It is hilarious to me that two of them not only share a birthday but are Fools babies! What does that say about me?? ;) Anyway, I know I am late on this blog but HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AARON AND MY DAD!

Aaron and I had a quiet day. I suprised him with his favorite coffee drink and a muffin from Starbucks before work. Then after work we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant. Then after dinner I suprised him with his favorite icecream cake from Baskin Robbins. Cass and I sang and he blew out a candle in the shape of a big 1 since it was left over from when Cass turned 1! :) I think the candle was still relevant since his birthday is on the 1st! lol
Happy halfway to 50 sweetheart! Cass and I love you sooooo much!
