Merry Christmas!!!

So this Christmas, Aaron and I stayed put in Washington. Mostly because I am not that big on flying anymore, being 32 weeks now! :) Aaron also had to work on the 24th and 26th. It is a good thing we didnt go anywhere because we had record snowfall here! It made for a beautiful white Christmas but was a pain in the butt to drive anywhere. For the first time in my life I shoveled our entire driveway!! Is anyone impressed? I wish I had pictures to show of that but its hard to take a picture of yourself shoveling. lol I must say I was really impressed and proud of myself. Aaron was really appreciative too. So below is a picture of our house right before I shoveled. There is a lot of snow huh?

It is so pretty with all the snow.

So anyway, Christmas Eve was really nice. I got to skype my family and watch them open all their presents. Skype is such a cool thing, it really allows you to feel like you are somewhere else for a little bit without ever getting on a plane. Here we are on Christmas Eve. :)

So on Christmas morning, Aaron and I just opened presents and we got to videotape the whole thing with my new videocamera! I also got a kitchen aid stand mixer which is sooooo exciting! I made cookies right after dinner. I made a turkey dinner since Aaron missed out on Thanksgiving. It was good but I must say making turkey is not really my best meal. :) It was so nice to just spend time together and relax and do all those projects around the house you never seem to get to.

I love those days when you never get out of your pjs! Our dogs had fun playing together in the snow as well!

Aaron and I had a wonderful Christmas and we look forward and hope for an even better new year! We feel so blessed and lucky in our lives and we couldnt be happier!

Cody and Rusty

Oh and this is my backyard this last weekend! We got about 8 inches of snow total and it is now currently 6 degrees! The low will be in the negatives! Crazy but it sure is beautiful!

Pregnant and Christmas- What a Great Time!

So a week and a half ago I took some pictures of my growing belly. All I can say is whoa mama! I am growing! Being pregnant is so amazing and is such a miracle!! I feel very blessed in my life right now. The top half of my belly button is now an outie but my bottom half remains an innie! I have a strong feeling the bottom half will soon join the top. :)

Yesterday was my holiday Christmas party. I cant believe how soon Christmas is! Anyway, Aaron and I took this picture all dressed up when we got home in front of our christmas tree. Happy Holidays!!

My New Office and Snow!!

So yesterday I moved into my new office at work!! I am so excited because it is really big and I will have room to bring my baby when she comes. :) She will come to work with me and I am sure she will love it now that we will have privacy and quiet. Hopefully she will let her mommy work while she sleeps. So the picture above shows my office if you are standing in my door looking in. In the corner in the right of the picture is where I will put her bassinet. :) Also Aaron suprised me those flowers sitting on my desk two days ago! Aren't they so pretty? I am a lucky girl!

The picture above is just the view from my desk looking back at my door. These are probably boring pictures but I was excited. lol I need some pictures on my walls. Oh well....

Anyway today was also the first big snow storm we have had. The first real snow is always so exciting!

This is the view from my office window. :) My bank and hospital are across the street. Small towns are so nice!!

BABY SHOWER!

So over Thanksgiving break, I was so lucky to have my baby shower! It was so nice that all my family and friends came over to help celebrate my upcoming baby! It was so fun. Thanks to everyone who came and got me such wonderful gifts. Also a special thanks to my parents for hosting and providing all the wonderful food. Amanda for helping to plan games and to Melissa and Laurie for helping decorate and planning.

All of my bridesmaids!! :)
I am playing the game where everyone cuts a string that they think will fit around my belly perfect. My friend Kerry won, her string was exactly the same size as mine! Pretty much everyone elses was way too long which is ok because it made me feel like maybe I am not that huge... yet. :)

Here is my mom (soon to be GRANDMA! My baby will call her Nanny though!) and me with my really cute cake.

Here is a picture of all of my family that came! Lets see from back row left there is my mom, Vicki, Melissa, Grandma, Amy, Jody, me, Laurie and Claire. Then front row left there is Leah, Victoria, Alana, Joyce and Michelle. :)

Me with Hil and Kp! :)

I got such wonderful gifts and had a great time. Thanks again to everyone who came! My baby is so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family!!

Work Holiday Picture

So a couple of weeks ago, we had a birthday party for my coworker and I conviced everyone to take our holiday work picture.

Happy Holidays Everyone! :)

The Best Friend A Girl Can Have

So I just got back from California and had a great time. I was able to spend Thanksgiving with my family and then I had my wonderful baby shower. I will create another post later all about the baby shower but just thinking about it made me want to create this post first.
Amanda has been my best friend basically since 9th grade. I have gone through a lot of life changes recently and she has done SO MUCH for me that I thought I should write this post as a way to not only thank her but so that everyone knows how lucky I am to have her as my best friend.

I wish I had all of our thousands of high school pictures to share but back then I only used a regular film camera. Basically concerning high school all I have to say is she pretty much helped me survive it. :)
Anyway so as soon as I got engaged, I asked Amanda to be my maid of honor and she said of course! So as a maid of honor she threw me a wonderful wedding shower.

After the wedding shower, she helped to throw me a bachelorette party. I hesitate to post this next picture because I am either intoxicated or very tired yet happy. I will never tell. :) Anyway, it was sooo much fun!

Amanda then helped me "rehearse" for my wedding. After the rehearsal and dinner she spent the night at my house helping me do all the last minute things I never got around to. She also helped me get ready the next morning!

Oh and I had to post this next picture. Basically it reminds me of high school. Amanda and I always tried to take a picture of ourselves and Aaron yet somehow most of his head always got cut off. LOL Sorry babe, we never mean to do that! The picture is still cute though!

Amanda then helped make my special day even more special. Ever since I saw Friends where Rachel is Monica's maid of honor I knew Amanda would be mine. We used to say all throughout high school that she would be my maid of honor and I am so glad it came true! The picture below makes me smile because it once again reminds me of high school. For some reason we love to pose like this as if maybe we are see something amazing in the sky or perhaps we are pondering something brillant. :)
One of the unfortunate things about being a maid of honor is being forced to give a speech. Amanda did a wonderful job just as I knew she would. :) She mentioned that in high school we thought we would marry Ben Affleck and Matt Damon which is true we did. I think we both got luckier in real life though. :)

So not only did Amanda help me with everything leading up to the wedding, stand next to me at the altar, give a speech but she ALSO managed to catch my bouquet!!! Look at her concentration in the picture below!
Then the photo after- YAY!!! So that means she should be getting married next!! Where is that ring?!?! I cant wait to help her celebrate with everything and return all the favors!

So after that hard work, you would think I would give her a break but nope!!! Just this last weekend, she also helped to throw me a baby shower!!

So anyway, I guess this is all to say thank you Nan. I appreciate everything you have done for me, you are truly the best friend anyone could have. I am so lucky my daughter will have such a wonderful aunt! :) You are so thoughtful and I love you!

6 Month Anniversary!!

So on November 10, 2008 Aaron and I celebrated our 6 month wedding anniversary! The best six months of our lives! I know some may say that is dorky but not us! Any reason to celebrate our love is a good reason to me. We went out to dinner and then to a movie. It was so nice to go on a date since those will be harder to come by in a few short months. Aaron and I are so blessed and happy in our marriage and we cant wait to continue to spend our lives together. 6 months married and 6 and 1/2 months pregnant. Wait a second.... never mind dont dwell on it. I was never good with math. :)

Our family is not complete without our dogs so we had a photo opportunity with them as well. They look a little possessed but you can still see how adorable they are!

Oh and I have to share this little story. I found this picture and it is so funny I had to post it. When Rusty was just a puppy we still lived out in the middle of nowhere and had all these chickens. We thought they were all hens even though some were huge. One was so big we called it "big ass chicken" or just "big ass" for short. Rusty and Big Ass were best friends. Anyway, we gave them away to our neighbor and then we were told Big Ass is in fact a rooster! It figures... So below is a picture I found of Rusty and Big Ass just hanging out playing. :) Oh life on the farm... people at work starting calling me a country bumpkin. Deep down I am still a Californian I swear.

Flowers!

I am so lucky! So after lunch, I discovered I had flowers on my desk! :) Everyone asked what Aaron had done wrong. lol He just sent me flowers for no other reason than to tell me he loves me! What a great surprise. :) Arent they pretty?

So this last weekend, Aaron and I took our dogs for a hike and of course I took a few pictures. It was so nice to just be out in the middle of nowhere again. (I miss living out in the middle of nowhere every once in awhile though not too often.)

Here I am with Rusty-the best dog in the world!

Here is Aaron with Cody... he is such a daddy's boy!

Pregnancy!!!

So like I said... Aaron and I found out we were expecting at the end of May. I had a rough first trimester but it was all worth it! I only threw up twice but of course I just felt like I could throw up at any minute all the time! (Is that too much information?) Anyway I was happy to be out of the first trimester and I was so excited when I started to show a little bit when I was 3 and 1/2 months pregnant. Some people have said you cant see anything but I completely disagree! :)

Ok anyway so everyone asks about cravings so in my first trimester I craved pickles. Very common or so I have read. In my second trimester, I craved cheeseburgers and lemons. Not together though... weird I know!

When I was a little over 4 months, I went to Chicago to see my grandparents! Anyone who knows me knows that I pretty much idolize my grandparents and it was so nice to see them. I miss them all the time and wish I could see them a lot more often. I love them so much!

I couldnt wait until my 5 month (20 week) doctors appointment because I knew I would find out if I was having a boy or a girl. Everyone and I do mean everyone (except maybe John and my boss) thought it was a boy. However.... IT IS A GIRL!!! Aaron and I are so happy!

Reaching 6 months (24 weeks) was very exciting for me because everyday she is kicking more and more! She loves dancing with the stars or so I think because she kicks when I watch it every week. :)

I not quite brave enough to post my recent bare belly pictures but I will attempt to work up the courage. :) I am so excited to enter into my third trimester now and I hope to continue to feel good as I do now. Oh and I am over my last cravings and am now enjoying pizza. :) Oh and I am craving my dad's spaghetti and meatballs! Send me some in the mail please dad! I just want to finish by saying that I am so grateful to have the most wonderful husband. Some people may say I have been a bit needy or hormonal during pregnancy but Aaron has never complained. I am very lucky!

A Little Background

So here is our story even though everyone who reads this will already know most of it. :) Aaron and I met in high school at Armijo. Aaron may tell you that he liked me from the day he met me... I needed to be won over a little. Either way, we were high school sweethearts and havent been apart a day since. Here we are at Armijo Grad Night in 2003

After high school, Aaron went off to Washington State University to be a football star/animal science major and I went to UC Davis to do gymnastics/history major. Being apart for 3 years was difficult but overall I believe it made our relationship stronger.

After high school I took a huge step and moved out of California for the first time!! Moving to Pullman, Washington was a big change for me. I now live in a small little town where it snows in the winter! I love it here though and at this point, Aaron and I wouldn't live anywhere else.

When I moved here I was lucky enough to get a great job where I continue to work today. I was also lucky enough to get to be here for Aaron's last 2 football seasons! Unfortunately, like myself Aaron hurt his back and had back surgery which ended his dreams of playing for the NFL. We now have matching scars. Here is the picture from his senior game.

Thanks to everyone who supported him throughout his career!

In December of 2006, I got the most wonderful Christmas present. Aaron asked me to marry him!! It was so romantic and I know I am the luckiest girl in the world. In March of 2008, my best friend/maid of honor Amanda and my mom threw me a wonderful wedding shower!

I had the most wonderful bridesmaids a girl could ask for. I love you all and I know we will be friends forever!

After my lovely shower, my wonderful brother and sister-in-law planned our bachelor/bachelorette parties!! It was a party Aaron and I will never forget! Good times!

Aaron and I got married on May 10, 2008! The day was perfect for us, we could not have asked for anything more. We appreciate everyone who came and helped in our big day especially my parents for paying for it, Aaron's dad for our wonderful rehearsal and all my bridesmaids for helping me with EVERYTHING including keeping me calm and organized.

After the wedding we went on our honeymoon to Hawaii. We just relaxed on the beach and enjoyed the fact that we were MARRIED!!

After the honeymoon, we got the best surprise of our lives! We found out we were expecting our first baby! Aaron and I are so excited and feel so blessed in our lives together. More on the pregnancy to come!
