go cougs

So we took Cassidy to her first Cougar game on the 19th. Aaron played for the Cougars so we know she will grow up being a die hard Cougar fan. Of course when Aaron played they were pretty good, at least always competitive. Now, well they suck. It makes it harder to be so excited about the games but we will always be WSU Cougar fans no matter what. Anyway so we went to the game. It was pretty cold, so we bundled up and off we went. (By the way, I cant wait for fall, it was absolute favorite season of the ever, especially here in WA)
This is before we went. Cass had on a pink WSU onesie and a pink WSU jacket. Her matching pants fit her length wise but just fall down so she cant wear them just yet. She is tall but thin. lol

Ok so the cougars are not really number 1 but hopefully they will be someday soon! We will keep watching regardless.
So then guess what???? They won in overtime! Their first win of the season! I am so happy that is the game we went to because it was so exciting. I mean students rushed the field they were so excited. After the game, Cass was really excited they won too! She must be their good luck charm!

Cass and I just back home from CA because my brother James got married! I have a million pictures so I will update again soon!

7 MONTHS

Cassidy is now 7 months old! She is just so cute and Aaron and I are so lucky to have her. I cant believe she is now closer to a year old than a newborn. This is a hard fact for me.

We went to the fair here this last weekend. It was Cassidy's first fair experience and she loved geting to see all the animals. Then at night she loved all the colorful lights and people on the rides. She wore her overalls that not only say HOWDY on them but also have horses on the leg since it was the fair. She looked adorable.

We had our typical Sunday, a lot of fun and relaxation.

We also took our dogs out to the wheat fields (middle of nowhere) and went on a long walk and let them play in the pond.

At 7 months:
*Cassidy can crawl fast and pull herself up to standing holding onto pretty much anything (my legs, the coffee table, her car seat, the bouncer etc)
*Cass babbles all day and if you do it she will repeat back and forth. I swear she says mama!
*She is a mama's girl.
*She takes baths in the big bath tub and loves it.
*She goes to swim class on Mondays and library class on Thursdays. She has lots of friends in both. :)
*She will start day care part time Nov. 1st so for now she still comes to work with me full time. She is a great employee. She makes copies, sends faxes and will shred/rip anything whether it is something you want shredded or something that is really important. lol
*She eats lots of different foods. Favorites: Peas, Bananas, Green Beans Least Favorite: Sweet Potatoes
*Her hair is getting more blonde and her eyes are still dark blue. She can have a ponytail which my mom thinks is silly but I think is soooo adorable!
We love you Cassidy! You make mama and daddy so happy! Dont grow up too fast please!

Milestones Galore!

So this past Labor Day weekend was a BIG weekend for Cassidy! She reached 3 huge milestones!

1) She had her first ponytail! Well, I guess ponytails are usually in the back of your head and hers is in the front but I dont care. Everyone at work was calling it her unicorntail. :) I was so excited she has enough hair to have a little one.

Isnt she adorable?!?!

Then I got a little carried away experimenting and gave her two ponytails as she was eating her dinner of carrots. lol

2) She now takes bath in the big bathtub. She can sit like a big girl in there and is too big for her baby bath now. She has only been in the big bathtub with me or Aaron just in case but it is still really exciting and she loves it. I dont have any pictures in the bath since one of us was in there too but here is a picture right after her bath with daddy. I will take pictures of her in it soon.

3) Cassidy can now CRAWL!!!! It is just so exciting. Our life as we knew it is now over, in a good way but it just got more crazy and more busy. The video below is the first time ever! Of course that was like 3 days ago so now she has it down and can crawl really fast! We have started baby proofing which is a pain. She is only 6 and a half months and can really crawl, I cant believe it. She is growing up, she is not a baby anymore! I am so proud! I cried and laughed and just felt pure happiness watching her grow!

Crawl & Giggle

So Cass is really trying to crawl these days! It is just amazing watching her trying to figure it out. She is getting so close. Here is a little video of her trying. :)

I love the sound of Cass laughing. She is just too cute! Here is a little video of her laughing at her daddy playing peekaboo. I hope this makes everyone who sees it smile.

Brothers

I miss my brothers. When I was growing up, I always looked up to them. But it was more like a little sister who thinks her big brothers are cool. Plus, then I was just their annoying kid sister who they picked on. However, now I miss them because they are my friends. I miss hanging out with them and I cant wait to see them at the end of September. Here is what I like and am thankful for:

-We have the same sense of humor.

-My brother John has a baby now and my brother James has one due to arrive in 8 weeks! This means we are all in the same place in life and can relate to all things baby.

-They are protective of me.

-We have the same likes and dislikes.
-We can spend all day together and not get bored.

-I can call John, JP or Johnny and James, Jamesy and neither get mad or annoyed.

-I can beat them both at tennis. Well... that may or may not be true.

-Aaron says he always knows when I am talking to one of my brothers on the phone because I talk a certain way only to them. I take that as a compliment. :)
-They both love Cassidy and she is lucky to have such wonderful uncles.

-I am BOTH James and John's FAVORITE SISTER!

I cant wait to see them in 3 weeks. I love you both!

Lazy Sunday

So Sunday is my favorite day by far. It is the day when Aaron and I just relax. We usually cook something special, watch a lot of tv, go for a walk, watch FOOTBALL, clean up a little and just be lazy! I love it! Here are some pictures from our most recent lazy Sunday.

Cassidy's first ponytail... well kind of but still HOW EXCITING!
Playing in our backyard, she loves to be outside.
"Look at this grass I pulled out mama, can I eat it now?"

Then it was bath time with some naked playing afterwards. :)

"Ok, I am exhausted, time for bed!"

People to See, Things to Do!

Cassidy wants to be able to move so badly! You can just tell that she is going to be so active. She is already trying to crawl so much! It is so exciting but at the same time I am trying to enjoy every minute now before I am constantly chasing her around making she she doesnt eat the dog food, pull out plugs etc. Here are a few pictures of her trying to get my phone.

She hasnt quite figured it out though. So once she tried this method for awhile so gave up, belly flopped and tried to see if she could just reach really hard to get it. :)

I cant believe how fast she is growing! I bet by the time I go home to CA at the end of September she will officially be crawling. We will see!
