10 Months Old!
Cassidy is now 10 months old! I say this every single month but I cant believe it. I must say, I love being a mom more and more each day. I am loving this age. Cassidy is really developing her personality, her likes and dislikes. She is so sweet, smart and funny.

It is officially winter here now so we have been getting lots of snow. Cassidy is a true northwest girl because she loves the snow! Here she is playing in the snow.
We are slowly trying to get rid of/decrease the binky use but I let her when we were playing outside because I felt like it would keep her little lips warm. Plus I knew if she didnt have it in she would put her face in the snow in hopes of eating some. brrr Anyway so ignore the binky. She still looks adorable if you ask me!
We took Christmas card pictures for the first time this year! I felt so grown up sending out my own Christmas card! :) Anyway here is the picture I picked. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! We will be going to CA next week for Christmas and I know we will have a great time seeing our families. I hope everyone has a great Christmas with their loved ones. :)

She is currently getting into EVERYTHING! She prefers adult things over baby toys. She loves to look in every closet, cabinet & bookcase. She loves to carry around phones and if you take something away that she wants she will let you know how much it displeases her. lol She loves to clap, play peekaboo, eat grown up food and she is even starting to dance a little when there is music on! She says mama, dada and dog. I am also thrilled to say that she now sleeps in her crib in her own room!! (WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER)

Goofy
Cassidy is always on the move and her personality comes out more and more each day. She is funny and smart. Here are some of her daily activities/adventures. :)
She thought they were very fun!
She loves loves loves to eat her big girl food all by herself. She makes a mess and loves to talk while she eats. She likes pastas, bread, cheese, veggies... actually she likes pretty much everything!
She also loves to clap with you.
She is such a joyful little girl. :)
She can now play peekaboo on her own and loves to hide then come out and see your face when you see her again. Here she is playing.
PEEK A BOO!!!!!! :)
Cassidy also loves to play with her daddy. Here she is going on a laundry basked ride. I have a feeling she will like roller coasters like her daddy. lol

New Christmas Traditions
This will be Cassidy's first Christmas so we are making new family traditions. We will be going to CA for Christmas but we thought we would get in the holiday spirit before then. Shortly after Thanksgiving we went as a family to pick out a tree. :)
After a lot of hard but fun work we finished. I love the holiday season and I love making memories with my happy little family.
This looks like a good one dad!
I like this one too mama!
I like this one too mama! After we picked out our small but cute tree we went home to decorate. Of course our tree stand we bought 3 years ago was too small for the base. So... after driving to two different stores I found a new one. Cassidy then helped us put on the lights and the ornaments.
She loved the lights but she decided that the lights would look better around her instead of the tree!
How cute!
She helped daddy put on all the ornaments. Another new tradition will be buying a new unique ornament each year. :) This year of course we bought one that says Baby's First Christmas.

Giving Thanks
This year I had Wednesday through Sunday off for Thanksgiving break which was so nice. Aaron had to work the day before and the day after Thanksgiving. :( Because of his work schedule we were not able to go home to CA to see our family but we made the best of it and started some of our own family traditions. I cooked Thanksgiving dinner and it was delicious! I was so proud of myself this year because everything actually came out like I wanted it to. :) We spent a lot of time just relaxing, going for walks and playing with Cassidy.
I try to take Cassidy and our dogs on a walk everyday if the weather allows. Every single time someone working on their yard says to me "wow you have your hands full." I always say back "Yah my dogs are talking me for a walk not the other way around." I love living in a small town where all my neighbors are friendly and strike up a conversation with me. Here is a picture of Cassidy and I getting ready for our Thanksgiving day walk. It was so nice, cold & crisp yet sunny.
Cassidy ate her thanksgiving lunch with just a diaper on. She enjoyed the turkey and cornbread. Yummy.
She then watched football and hung out with daddy. She even tried on his boots.
Then she decided to be mischievous like always. She decided to push her box of toys into the kitchen.
Then she decided to help me cook by pulling things off the pantry shelves all while making a phone call to someone.
I guess the phone call was for Rusty.
Then she decided she might check out if anything of interest was down the hall.
Since nothing was down there (we keep all the doors closed) she decided to rough house with Rusty.
She made sure to tell him to stay still because she wanted to climb up and then maybe he could give her a ride. He is such a good dog, he lets her pull his hair, poke him etc and he just lays there and keeps watch of her.
Then she decided she was tired and should take a quick rest break before getting on the move again.
At the end of the day she was exhausted. She needed a nap, plus turkey makes you tired. :)
I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful for my husband. He is my partner and best friend, he accepts me for who I am and he is the most wonderful father. I am thankful for my healthy, happy, and loving Cassidy. She gives me purpose, strength and joy. I am thankful for Aaron's family. I am thankful for my parents, who are always there to support us. I am thankful for my brothers who are two of my best friends. I am thankful for Cassidy's healthy happy cousins. I am thankful that Cassidy not only has grandparents but also GREAT-grandparents. I am thankful for all our friends in WA and CA and for all our extended family. It is easy to worry or complain about things but we have good jobs, a house and loving friends and family. Because of this, we are blessed and I am thankful. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. What are you thankful for? :)

Cassidy's School Thanksgiving Potluck
Cassidy's school had a thanksgiving potluck a couple weeks ago. All the parents brought something and got to meet while our kids played. It was really nice to meet the other parents. I couldnt get very many good pictures since Cassidy never stays in one place. She is always on the move and so my pictures are always blurry. lol She was showing me all her toys she gets to play with everyday. :)

Everyone is playing in one spot but not Cassidy. Places to go and people to see. :) I am glad she loves her school.

9 MONTHS
Cassidy is now 9 months old! I really cant believe it. The term baby does not really apply anymore. I am so proud of her and all her new accomplishments but I am also sad she is growing up so fast! She now prefers real people food that she can eat herself. She loves to sit in her high chair and pick food up one at a time and put it in her mouth. She also prefers to walk everywhere. She will just start walking towards something and if she happens to lose her balance she will just crawl until she gets to something that she can use to pull herself back up to stand. When you tell her no she loves to shake her head no in response. She loves peekaboo but is smart and always knows where you are hiding. She still has no teeth and is getting better at sleeping in the night.
We went to the doctor to have her checkup. She is doing great. She now weights 17lb 6oz (30th%) and is 28" tall (70th%). I cant remember her head size but I remember it was (60th%). She got her finger pricked and got just one shot. As soon as the nurse put a bandaid on her finger Cass started trying to get it off. She was successful within 5 minutes. lol
After her hair is in a ponytail it sticks straight up. This picture was right before her bath! Look at how cute Cassidy and her daddy are!! They mean the world to me.
We love you so much Cassidy!
