I realized when I was doing this that Cassidy has flown to California 10 times and to Maui once. That is 11 trips in her first 2 years!!! WOW!

TWO IN CA

I have so many posts to catch up on so here we go. :)

Happy 2nd Birthday to Cassidy!!!! She was so spoiled this year with love. She had 2 birthday parties before she even turned 2. She celebrated with everyone who loves her since we were able to go to CA and had a party here in WA.

On Feb. 5th we went down to California. I went a few days before Aaron but he met me there!! He never gets to come and I was so happy he could this time to be there with Cassidy for her party.

We mostly hung out the couple days before the party. We spent time with Grandpa & Donovan.

We went to the park.

I went to Davis for a night and hung out with my college roomies!! I havent seen Carrie in so long since she lives in AZ and it was sooooo nice to see her!!!

Alyse and I have a tradition to have lemon drops together so notice the drinks. ;)

Cass was pumped for her party. It was like 75 degrees!! It was so awesome because everyone could spread out and be in my parents nice backyard. My dad has a slide in the backyard which was a big hit with all the kids. Cass was waiting for all the guests!

Grandpa Johnson brought our niece Mallory with him so she could be part of the party. Cass loved that so many cousins came!!

Cassidy with her cousins: Donovan, Mallory and Sage.

After all this the kids went into the hot tub. I dont have any pictures because honestly that was only time to talk to all my family and friends. Plus I took advantage of that time to eat all the delicious food my dad made!!!

Once the kids got out Cass changed into her other dress and we got ready for cake.

*After the hot tub we had a very scary incident with Donovan swallowing something. My brother/sister took him straight to the doctor and everyone was very worried. I am thrilled to say he is perfectly fine. It was very scary though and all of this happened in the middle of the party so our thoughts were with him while still trying to celebrate.

We then had cake.

You can kind of get a feel for the party and how everyone was outside in short sleeves. So FUN!

After cake we did presents. All the kids loved helping Cass open her presents. Cassidy got wonderful things! Plus the best part is we fit everything in our bags for the flight home. She loves all her gifts so much! THANKS TO EVERYONE!!! She is so lucky!

This is not that great of a pic but it is my only one of all 3 of us. We had such a fun time and I know Cassidy had a blast!

On Superbowl Sunday it was seriously 81 degrees!!! In FEBRUARY!! It was so relaxing. We ate lumpia & chicken wings, watched the superbowl and got to see Amanda!!

It was so nice that while Cassidy napped my mom and I went to lay out by the pool and work on our tans! I miss you already California.... it is snowing here today.

Maui Part 2

Here is my second Maui post. We did other things besides hang on the beach. For example the kids read. They love to read especially the same books over and over. I think we all read Brown Bear, Brown Bear to them like 20 times each. :)

The pool was right outside our condo and Cassidy was in love with it. I knew she would love the pool as she loves swim class here. If asked, Cass would pick the pool over the ocean everytime. We usually went to the beach in the mornings and the pool after nap. She was just so happy and wanted to jump off the side over and over again. :)

We also went on a whale watching boat. Here is a picture of Cassidy and Aaron waiting to take off. The trip started off ok but they dont allow you to hold children in case you fall but it is also hard for kids to walk on their own since the boat rocks.

After a little while I went downstairs with Cass and she started to cry. All of a sudden she started throwing up all over me and her. :( It was so sad she got so sea sick. Sadly, she got my genes as far as that stuff goes. After I took off her shirt we cuddled at the back of the boat where it is the calmest. The bad part of that was we couldnt see any whales. She started to feel better and I went up to see the whales and take a few pics.

Here are the kids after Cass started to feel better reading with Grandma as everyone else was up watching the whales. Notice how she has no shirt on. Poor girl.

One afternoon my parents were nice enough to watch Cass and Donovan so we all could go out to lunch. We went into Laihana and went to Cheeseburgers & Paradise. It was so fun! We had the best waiter, we had awesome seats on the water, we had great food and we had great company!

Cassidy and Donovan also spent a lot of time just being silly and playing with eachother. They took a lot of baths together to get rid of all that sand.

They sat by eachother and laughed.

They wrestled with my brother.

They found bowls to use as hats.

On the second to last day it rained so we left my parents to enjoy some peace/quiet and we headed to the Maui Discovery Center Aquarium. The kids really enjoyed seeing all the fish especially at the beginning.

We all went out to dinner in Lahaina at Bubba Gumps. Aaron is sooo good at Bubba Gump trivia since it is one of his favorite movies! My parents bought Cass and Donovan adorable hawaiian outfits so this was their chance to wear them.

As we were waiting for our table we had a quick photo session. :) The sun was setting and it was so pretty!

We had a great meal!

We had a wonderful trip. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Our kids were at such a fun age! Aaron and I have been wanting to go back the minute we got home. :) Thank you to my parents! And if you are reading this, our bags are always packed for the next trip!
