Pumpkins!

Last week, I got together with my friends Tatum and Erin to carve pumpkins with our kids. It was so nice of them to invite me! Even though Cassidy is too young to really remember or participate in all the holiday traditions, I want to do them all anyway! So far Cass and I have carved a pumpkin and made halloween cupcakes together. :) I also ordered her Halloween costume and I cant wait to take her trick-or-treating.
Here she is all ready to start!

Oh whats in there???

She not only wanted to look inside the pumpkin but she also wanted to use to pumpkin to help herself stand up. :) She got to hang out with her friend Isabelle! I am excited for when Cass is really old enough to really play with Isabelle.

Below is my friend Tatum trying to get Cass and Izzy to sit with her for a good picture. This was the best of the bunch I took. lol
It was hard for me to actually carve our pumpkin since I was constantly holding or chasing Cass.
I am so happy that Erin's son Dillon was there to help me pull out the pumpkin guts as he called it. :) Arent they all cute?
I love doing all these holiday traditions/activities with Cassidy.
It was a really fun night though Cass was getting a little cranky towards the end so our pumpkin is faceless. lol That is on this weekends to do list for sure!

8 Months Old

Cassidy turned 8 months old on October 15th! She has changed so much this last month.

* Cassidy now crawls everywhere and quickly!

* She pulls herself up to stand easily using anything ranging from coffee tables to peoples legs to my dogs.

* She now tries to stand on her own and can balance for about 15 seconds then falls to her bottom.

* She loves to nurse and eat all types of baby foods.

* She does NOT sleep through the night.

* She loves to go to swim class & library class.

* She loves to go on walks especially with both dogs, she watches them walk and laughs at them.

* She is a mama's girl but daddy makes her laugh.

We love you Cassidy! You are such a sweet girl. You are independent during the day but like to snuggle at night. You hair is becoming blonder and your eyes are still a beautiful blue. You complete our family and you make mama and daddy so happy. xoxo

Cassidy's Work

So Cassidy still comes to work with me everyday for 8 hours. I know she is getting bored of filing cabinets, copy machines, bookcases etc. She is going to daycare in only 2 more weeks so she will have lots of friends and a kid approved atomsphere to play in soon. I am FREAKING OUT about her starting daycare so I am trying to soak up these last 2 precious weeks. So Cass has found things to do at work to keep herself entertained. She plays with the mail key. Her favorite game is hide and seek. One day last week she hid it and the rest of us seriously looked for an hour! She had crawled into my boss's office and put it in this bag where it dropped to the very bottom. We have now made an emergency copy in case she starts another suprise game of hide and seek. lol On her way to look for future hiding places!
She was just doing some filing for me!

Cassidy also likes to hang out by the water cooler and discuss current events. She always gives her input on such topics as her favorites on dancing with the stars and so you think you can dance. :)
Lastly she loves to take things off of bookcases or out of garbages or off of desks. If you ever need all your papers all over the floor call me and Cassidy will gladly do that for you. :)

Caught red-handed! Guilty! Who Me?!?!

Cassidy is building one heck of a resume! She is our future CEO! :)

Fall!

Brrrr, its fall around here. Even though it is getting cold, I love it! I love the cold air in the morning. I love wearing sweaters. I love bundling up by the fire and watching movies. I love Halloween and Thanksgiving. I love watching football and all my favorite shows that are only new in the fall. I love everything about Fall.

However, this year it may be more challenging. I mean I have a baby who wants to be outside, who loves to go on walks. She loves the park and she will want to start to walk soon. When it is like 10 degrees and snowing will we feel trapped inside? Hmmmm, I guess we will have to get creative this year.
It hasnt started to snow but it is sure cold! Here is Cass getting ready for a walk.

She doesnt seem to mind! :)

Good thing she has inside library class on Thursdays and inside swim class on Mondays. So before we left for swim class, I really wanted to capture some pictures of Cass in this swimsuit. I found it in her closet with the tag on. I had forgotten all about it. I thought I only had this one below. The picture above was from when Cass was like 4 and 1/2 months old in CA.

Anyway, so this new swimsuit has elephants and is adorable like her other one so I thought I would get some pics. When I took the picture above, Cass just sat there and smiled. However, now I can not get her to stay still for one decent picture! :) She is always on the move and is not interested in posing for her mama. She has places to go and people to see apparently.

I have a ton that look like these. lol Below is my one good picture after like 20 minutes of trying. And one second after this was taken she was on the move once more. Oh heavens.

By the way, I love blogging and I really love reading other peoples blogs. I am a little obsessed. :) It is taken the place of my scrapbooking for awhile. It is similar of course just less stickers, glue etc. I think everyone should have a blog!

Last Pizzo Wedding

So its official the Pizzos are all married! I am so excited because James and Melissa got married September 26th. Melissa wanted a fall evening... but well lets just say it was HOT! Its ok though because once the sun went down it was a beautiful warm night. The bride and groom looked beautiful and the wedding was nice. I loved getting to see them get married and promise to love eachother forever. (I love weddings!) I lalso loved getting to see my family and just have fun. Here is Cass with Melissa as she was getting ready.

In the shade, trying to stay cool before the ceremony.

Alright, enough goofing around. Time for the wedding to begin.

First Kiss. I had to move over to the side because Cass decided to start talking (LOUD) in the middle of the ceremony. I guess she wanted to be the center of attention. lol

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Pizzo. :)
My cute brothers.

This is my favorite picture of the bride and groom!
When it got dark, I no longer liked my pictures. I should have brought my fancy work camera but I didnt want to carry it around especially since I was holding Cass 99% of the time.
I wish Aaron was there. He is missing from this picture!

Sisters.
How cute are my grandparents?!?!? I hope Aaron and I are as happy as them 58 years from now!! :)
Babies dancing. :)

It was a great night and I wish James and Melissa a lifetime of happiness. Next up the baby! Melissa is due in less than one month! I cant wait to meet my little niece or nephew! So excited!! Cass cant wait either! I keep my phone charged at all times waiting for THE CALL!

California Here We Come!

So Cass and I went home to CA for a long weekend to see family and to celebrate James and Melissa getting married. I really wish Aaron could have gone but he always has to work. (Oh well, I know all his hard work will pay off for him) Anyway, we flew down on Thursday the 24th. I was really happy because I got to spend a lot of time with my parents and my grandparents who came all the way from Chicago. I also got to see a lot of both my brothers, sister-in-laws and my favorite (and currently only) nephew!

It was so hot, we got to spend lots of time outside by the pool! Cass and D really do love eachother. Cass kind of beats up on D but let me tell you that will not continue for much longer. :)

D hates the binky but is a thumbsucker! How cute!

Look at that smile.
They were so tired, but how cute sleeping next to eachother.
I love my grandparents and my mom of course.

Cass loves her grandma.

Cass and Uncle James. :) They look so similar.

Doesnt Cass look like a big girl sitting there next to my nanny?! Gosh I mean she looks so mature. Wow. Well anyway, next blog will be the wedding. Let me tell you it was so nice just getting to see my family and hang out and relax by the pool. I love my life in WA and I wouldnt trade it but I do miss my family, every once in awhile it is nice to be HOME.
