Cassidy Quotes

I wanted to write down some of my favorite things Cassidy has said so I don't forget.

-"Mama, you are driving me crazy!"

-Aaron and I kiss... Cass: "What you doing? Just kissing Daddy?" Me: "Yes" Cass: "Oh ok that so funny."

-Cass:"Mama you got a pretty dress today." Me: "Thanks" Cass: "You beauiful. You so welcome."

-Cass: "I love you mama." Me: "I love you too." Cass: "I love you soooo much." Me: "Thanks baby" Cass: "You so welcome mama."

- Me: "What should we name baby sister?" Cass: "Baby sister." Me: How about Cody?
Cass: "Mama! No, not baby cody. Cody my dog. Cody a boy. You so funny." Me: "I try."

-Cass: "Grandma coming to our house next week." Me: "No she is coming this Saturday." Cass: "No not Saturday she coming next week."

-Me: "What did you have for lunch today?" Cass: "I dont want to talk about it."

-Cass: "What you having for lunch today?" Me: "I dont know, what should I have?" Cass: "Noodles and cheese and crackers and ice cream."

-Me: "Cass lets get the mail." Cass: "Oooo, maybe present in there for me." (We open the mailbox) Cass: "Nope no present just all bills. You get it mama." Me: "Geez, thanks."

-Cass: "Mama I gotta go outside. I not in the street. I only on sidewalk. I gotta go help Daddy. You stay here, I be right back. I gotta help my daddy outside."

-Cass walks along and picks up everything. "Here mama, here is a rock for baby sister. Put in on your belly and dont drop it." One minute later, "Here is a leaf for baby sister dont drop it." One minute after that, "Here is stick for baby sister, put it on your belly." "Wait let me see everything, dont drop it keep it, ok? It is for baby sister."

Maternity Pics

The other night I was going through my scrapbooks and was looking over Cassidy's pregnancy and 1st year scrapbooks. They are very detailed and extensive. :) I am really proud of them but yet I felt this automatic guilt at my lack of anything for this new baby. So I have a new mission. I am a scrapbooking fool these days. I must get a pregnancy book done before this baby comes! First task: print all pregnancy pictures. Second task: take more pregnancy pictures that are not just self belly portraits.

So we went to the river last weekend to take some pictures. I am actually thrilled we did because I really wanted some new pictures with a nice background (not my house or office) with Cassidy in them. It was so hot at the river that Cassidy and I finally took our shoes off and got in the water while Aaron took our picture. We ended up walking along the river, throwing rocks in and having a great time!

I was a little over 35 weeks in these pictures. I have my 36 week appointment tomorrow. Crazy!! I was just remembering how last time I was this pregnant I was going home everyday from 11 to 1 to nap. That makes me laugh, I haven't taken any naps during the work day this time. I have to pick Cass up from school at 12 so that would present a challenge in my old nap schedule. lol I have been so busy with work and Cassidy that this pregnancy has flown by. I am really excited but yet I do not quite feel ready just yet. My mom is coming up in 2 weekends to help me sort the closets and get back out Cassidy's baby size clothes plus wash everything and get the bouncer, swing etc back out. I am really hoping after that weekend I feel more ready. It is just crazy that in two days it will be October and I am due in October!!! WOW! I cant wait to hold her and see if she looks like Cassidy. :) I cant wait to see Cassidy's face when she sees her sister and I cant wait to finally see her so we can pick a name! lol Names are hard! YAY for being 9 months!!

Baby Shower

I had a small but relaxing baby shower when I was in California. James and Melissa came with Sage. John and Laurie brought Donovan over. My best friends Amanda, Alyse and Heather came and my uncle and aunt stopped by. It was perfect weather so we mostly hung out in the pool and ate. :)

Cassidy had a great time playing with Donovan and Sage and helping me open the presents for the baby.

My baby and James & Melissa's new baby will be so close in age! How fun! She is due now!!!

I was sad I wouldnt be going home anytime soon but we booked our Christmas tickets! Yay! I am so happy that Aaron and I will be able to spend Christmas with our family! Plus it will be the first chance I have to see my new niece or nephew and the first time everyone will see our new baby after she comes! :) It will be hard to go home and not be able to enjoy the pool but at least there will be eggnog, fire in the fireplace, a Christmas tree and family!

Pool Time

I went to California at the end of August to spend time with friends, family and have a small baby shower. This was the last time I could go home before I get too pregnant. I tried to soak up every minute. Cassidy spent 90% of her time in my parent's pool with Donovan. They are so cute.

8 Months

Oh Baby! I am now almost 34 weeks pregnant. I am really enjoying my pregnancy. I love how much the baby moves. I feel like she is constantly moving and twisting and turning. I feel like Cassidy kicked more and this baby turns and rotates more. Plus she has been getting the hiccups a lot which I love. Cassidy has even felt her move and hiccup and loves it. She is always asking me if she can feel baby sister and she puts her hand on my tummy and waits patiently. :)

I have been craving smoothies and cereal and still spicy things. I put red pepper flakes on tons of foods. Last night I got chinese food and couldnt eat a bite. Instead I had cereal. lol I have also been making smoothies every single day and bringing it with me back to work. Oh and I have been making tons of zucchini bread with all my zucchinis from my garden. yummy! I am still not liking bacon, popcorn and chinese food. Cravings are so funny.

I am not big on bare belly pictures with no shirt especially with the second pregnancy but this is my blog and I am proud of my big growing belly. :) Cass wanted her picture taken as well with my belly. She even lifted her shirt up to show daddy her belly for a picture but I didnt put it on here since she was naked on the bottom. (We are working on potty training and she does really well when she is naked.)
This picture was 33 weeks. I have a double chin but so does Cass. Hers is way cuter! I do think we look similar though so that is why I like it. Other than being tired and having tons of back pain everything is still going great. My back hurts so bad earlier this time but I think it is also because I am picking Cass up a lot as well and chasing her non-stop. She loves to play baseball, catch and volleyball in the backyard. I am going to get a massage next week so I hope that will help. I am hoping not to get induced this time but my doctor said he would if my back gets really bad. I am into the every 2 week appointments so that is exciting. Right now my Dr. is still thinking I should be giving birth sometime in the 20s of October. :)

We are so excited to meet this baby and start our lives as a family of 4. However, we are trying to soak up and enjoy our time as a family of 3 now. Plus enjoy sleeping through the night for a little bit longer. :)

Kitchen

We have been doing a kitchen remodel for what feels like forever now. It is quite the process and I am sooo excited to almost be done. We still have to put our new knobs and handles on the cabinets but other than that it is done.

We started by redoing the floor. The biggest part of that was we ripped out the carpet in the dining room and put a new floor in the kitchen and through to the dining room. No more trying to clean the thick carpet after every meal with Cass spilling food on it. Then we got all new appliances. New fridge, microwave, stove and dishwasher. I love them! Then we ripped off the countertop and sink and got granite, a new sink and a new faucet.

These before pictures were taken when we first walked through the house with the previous owners stuff.

Go Cougs!

We went to the Cougar football game and had a wonderful time. Cassidy loved watching the marching band, finding Butch the mascot and watching the players. It was a really fun day and the best part is they won!
Cassidy talks about going back again soon to see the "cougar- his name is butch." She makes sure to tell us his name every time she talks about him.
